Union Public Service Commission invites applications for Combined Medical Services Examination 2012 for recruitment to the post of doctors in Central Services like Railways, Ordinance Factories, Health Services of Government, Central Health Services and Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria for Combined Medical Services Examination 2012
Candidates who have completed their M.B.B.S are eligible to apply for this post. Those who are in the final year of M.B.B.S are also eligible for the same. Those who are doing their internship are also eligible for applying provided they submit the proof of completion of internship by the end of written examination.
The age of the candidate must be less than 32 years as on 1 January 2012.
Reservations according to government norms are applicable for job vacancies and applications.
How to Apply for Combined Medical Services Examination 2012
Candidates may apply ONLINE as well as OFFLINE for Indian Forest Services Examination 2012
Online application can be submitted through the UPSC website.
Offline application can be purchased through Head post Office/Post office in the respective cities by payment of a sum of Rs 50/- . Each form can be used only once.
Application Fees of Combined Medical Services Examination 2012
Candidates applying online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 50/-(Rs fifty only) either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master credit/debit card.
Candidates applying offline (through common application form) are required to pay a fee of Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only) through central recruitment fee stamp only.
Imp:-All female candidates/SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from payment of fee (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).
Selection Procedure for Combined Medical Services Examination 2012
The Written test for Combined Medical Services Examination 2012 consists of two papers. The Paper 1 has three subjects General Knowledge, General Medicine and Pediatrics. Paper 2 has three subjects Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Preventive and Social Medicine. The written test Paper 1 and Paper 2 is of 250 marks each.
The 2nd Stage is Interview. Candidates who have completed the written test are called for Interview of 100 marks.
